The time zone configured in your Vyte account is used as the reference for displaying appointments and notifications related to you.
You may want to update it if:
you have moved to another country;
you mainly work with a team located in a different time zone;
you want your notifications to be displayed in a specific time zone;
you are scheduling meetings for a country different from the one where you are physically located (for example, during a trade show or business event).
Where can I change my account time zone?
Go to your Vyte account settings and select the desired time zone.
What happens when I change my account time zone?
Confirmation and notification emails
Your account time zone determines the time displayed in the emails you receive.
For example:
your Vyte account is set to Paris;
you change your account time zone to Shanghai.
Any confirmation emails you receive from then on will display meeting times according to the Shanghai time zone.
Confirmation and decline pages
When a guest views a confirmation or decline page, Vyte prioritizes the guest’s own time context.
As a result, the guest will generally see:
the meeting time in their own time zone;
the equivalent time in the meeting organizer’s time zone.
Example:
the organizer’s account is set to Shanghai;
the guest is located in France.
The guest will see the meeting time in their local French time zone, as well as the corresponding time in Shanghai.
This dual display makes it easy to verify that both participants are referring to the same time slot.
Does my account time zone take precedence over my calendar time zone?
Yes.
If your connected calendar (Google Calendar, Outlook, iCal, etc.) uses a different time zone from your Vyte account:
Vyte emails and pages will continue to use your account time zone as the reference;
the connected calendar time zone is primarily used to manage your availability.
In other words, changing your calendar's time zone does not have the same effect as changing the time zone of your Vyte account.
What does each participant see?
Organizer's view
The meeting organizer receives emails based on the time zone configured in their Vyte account.
Guest's view
Guests generally receive scheduling information according to their own time context (their account settings or their detected local time zone).
On confirmation pages, they also see the corresponding time in the organizer’s time zone.
Key takeaways
Your Vyte account time zone mainly affects:
✓ the confirmation and notification emails you receive;
✓ the reference time zone associated with your organizer profile;
✓ the time zone displayed as the reference on scheduling pages.
However, it does not directly modify the availability of your connected calendar, which continues to be managed through that calendar’s own settings.
